Filing Day

Today is filing day not for taxes but divorce papers for my closest friend in the world. My heart breaks for her. Our "end" stories , 11 years apart, are eerily similar being that there was no real cause other than I just think I'd be happier without you. My heart breaks for her because I know how it feels

• to have the rug pulled out from under you


• to have the person who was once crazy about you, turn his back on you


• to have the man you loved and had children with become cold hearted and unfeeling towards you


• to realize all your plans of growing old together are no more


• to have to answer " I don't know what went wrong" and for people to respond "whats wrong with him"


• like your heart has been ripped out of your body and at times you can't even breath

My heart breaks because I can't be there in person for her today, but I do know

• She will come out the other end a stronger person


• That research shows divorced women tend to marry better than their ex-husbands next time around


• One day she'll meet a man that believes a deals a deal and have a better growing old plan


• That while he may have forgot or lost sight, your friends and family have never forgotten how wonderful and amazing you are and just how damn lucky he was to have found you

Oh, and one other thing I know, Eric you're an ass.
