Along the middle school lines we started the planning and preparations for Lolly's Fabulous Fright Fest Sleepover taking place in 2 weeks. I am sure I may live to regret this...
We cheered on the Falcons. When I thought all was lost, Lolly said the games not over yet and sure enough with something like 7 seconds left we rallied and won the game.We rounded out the weekend with a little cookie baking where I was told, this isn't fun anymore. Why I asked. Because you've become the baking nazi I was told. Is it so wrong to want them to look good? Now there's nothing left to do but get ready for the upcoming week and oh yeah a ton of laundry...

Baking Nazi, eh? I exhibit those same traits from time to time... M and I made a suncatcher, you know, the kind that you bake in the oven. I just about freaked out when the different colored plastic pieces got mixed up in the torso of the unicorn. I had to catch myself and remember that the suncatcher wasn't for me, but for M and that I sure wasn't making it fun. It turned out gorgeous.
Good luck with the sleepover and the laundry.
I had to remind Lolly that normally she only helps for a short time, not being to end. But I do need to work on keeping my Type A in check.
my son had his first dance a few weeks ago.. the kids had to sign a "no freak dancign" contract... these are 6th graders at a catholic school... they haven't a clue as to how one would freak!!!
as for baking... well, we had 9 kids here decorating cookies on sunday... i just don't look.
"no freak dancing" contract. That is hilarious. On second thought, it's sad that my daughter's school could put that to good use.
9 kids decorating cookies ~ that would call for one big bottle of wine!
Oh no...I too am the baking nazi. So now, I have baking night for "us" and baking "during the day while they're at school" for me. ;)
I love Lolly's confidence. That's fantastic! I was always worried about what I was wearing compared to everyone else. Still do...
