Point One

As in .1, the difference on the scale this morning. I went from 128 to 127.9. Essentially that's really the same thing but the numbers are moving down and that's the right direction.

moving on....

Twisted

that's my thinking. I've been eating clean for a week and feel good. The cravings are gone. Don't get me wrong. The idea of a cake doughnut with chocolate icing and tons of sprinkles like you get at the QuikTrip still sounds pretty yummy but I am not plagued with thoughts of sugar and candy anymore. So all is going well.

Then I weigh myself this morning.  Down 2 lbs. That's good right?  But somehow I am disappointed because there's no noticeable difference. Then I have to remind myself that it's only been a week. It's only 2lbs. What do I want? Do I think one good week is going to undo the 20lbs of cakes and cookies? Well yes, yes I do. I watch too much tv, too much Biggest Loser, read to many before and after weight loss articles. It's been one week. How ridiculous am I!

If it was quick and easy everyone would thin right? Slow and steady wins the race right?

91 Days and Counting

I am still working out the kinks. There are a lot of them. More than I realized. Good thing I visited Kerry today and read her post on discovering the secret to losing weight.

I am not anywhere near highschool skinny.  In fact if caught on hidden camera some might think I was actually eating for two.

Next week I am trying Kerry's secret. I think I can manage the water part. The eating less, well that might just be a kink...I believe Kerry knows what's she talking about. Why the answer is so easy but seems so hard is just beyond me. Hence the extra 15pounds. The madness of it...

Tell The Truth Thursday

Day 2 of 100 Days - My eating habits would lead one to believe that I am trying to gain not lose 15lbs for my reunion. I did however run/walk for an hour yesterday and did 20 (better than nothing) minutes of pilates today.

If I can just maintain till I work out the eating kinks in this plan.

100 Days

It's official. Only 100 days till my 25yr (holy cow) class reunion. My plan is to drop a pound, or two, or fifteen. Here's a few things to know
  • I do my best work under pressure. 100 days, while that seems long, I am feeling the pressure.
  • I have to make this quest not only pressure filled but fun. Hence the 100 day logo.
  • I may or may not have also made a 100 day weight loss calendar.
  • In making the logo my first thought was to use a chocolate bar but that perhaps that wasn't the best idea.
  •  My second choice was a running shoe but I didn't have any easily accessible running shoe pic that could upload to picnk.
  • I did however have a picture of a pear. And I know this lose won't happen with exercise AND eating right
  • The irony is not lost of me, that yes I am actually a pear shaped person.
Truth is I could probably not lose an once and be happy going to my reunion, with the help of a couple cocktails. But for anyone who has crossed over the 30's into the 40's knows that losing a couples is probably need, at least that's been my experience, damn it!

One other thing to know, it's probably not the best idea to telecommute the day you kick off something like "100 Days" because you if you listen closely you can hear the chocolate bar calling me from the kitchen.
