I have been so busy at work for the last couple months. Awhile back I was asked to temporarily take on a few customer groups for three months. When the three months was over I was super exicted at the thought of handing the work back over. The day I thought things were going back to normal I was told that not only would I be keeping those customer groups but I was getting some additional groups in a kind of re-work of the department. The work has been nonstop. So it was no surprise today when I literally felt ill at the idea of reviewing one more resume. I mean hundreds and hundreds of resumes make my head hurt and my eyes blurry...
Who's traveling for Thanksgiving? Not this girl. Truth be told I'd love to be at home in Indiana for the holiday. But since I can't, my place of choice will be on the couch at the House of Fowler.
I can finally breathe through my nose again. I believe thanks to the soup. Now if I can stop coughing before I lose a lung, I might feel human again.
Sometimes when I am watching The Office reruns Mister feels it necessary to say "They're not a real couple". And I want to say "watch and learn".
Do you know what's worse than realizing that your drivers license expired two days ago? Driving 20 minutes in the rain to realize the dmv office is closed on Mondays.
Yesterday at 5:00pm I put on my out of office message on my phone and email. At 7:00pm I put my blackberry in a drawer. Where it will stay. I can sense that little red light blinking but if I take a look at it, I'll get sucked back in....
I picked up The End of Overeating by Dr David Kessler at the library today. I think it's going to effect the way I think about packaged, processed and restuarant foods the way Food Inc effected the way I purchase and eat meat.
It seems like there's a lot of people putting up their Christmas trees and decorations already. While I love, love, love Christmas and I have to fight the urge to decorate too early, I still think Thanksgiving should come before Christmas.
That's how feel when I look out the window and see Lolly and a friend flirting with two neighborhood boys.
Tonight I am enjoying Orville Redenbachers Movie Theater Popcorn with pure over butter because sometimes you just have to splurge. (And you need motivation to get up and run in the morning, in the cold.)
The charm behind the "A" says Fowler and I couldn't decide if that was gay or not because I know people often put their kids names or something inspirational. But Lolly's really name wouldn't fit and heck she's 14. My mommy jewelry days are behind me. Plus I think Mister finds it comforting when ever I have our last name or monogram put on something. It's like a sign that I haven't changed my mind about him.
I am happy to report that I have escaped the Halloween candy with minimal damage done to my waist, hips, and thighs. I hope I haven't jinxed myself.
I saw these scarrots at my local Kroger. I seriously thought of buying them to ensure we were crossed off of the list of houses to come back to next year. I may have mentioned last year that handing out candy to kids in costumes kind of creeps me out.
Alright back to work.
